National Friendship Day

Today is National Friendship Day: a day set aside to recognize friends.

For me, closing out a fun-filled weekend with friends is the perfect time for reflection on the friendships in my life.

My Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ – I’m thankful to know Him and call Him my friend – eternally

My husband – through the good, the bad and the ugly of life, he’s my bestie

My children – they’ll always be my kids but it’s really special to also have them as true friends

New friends – those who the Lord has recently placed in my life. It’s exciting to get to know folks and be open to new experiences

Old friends – those extra special connections that are tried and true (and will forever be) are irreplaceable

Renewed friendships – unexpectedly or intentionally crossing paths again – it’s neat to learn how people have changed, or perhaps remained the same

Lost friendships – regardless of the circumstances of the disconnect I’m grateful for each season with each one

Anticipated friends – trusting the Lord for divine connections that are a part of His ultimate plan for my life

I’m grateful for all friends. And I want to be a good friend.

Live Life, Y’all!
